The migration to the new platform is taking longer than expected, as are Trump’s ‘deals’ to end wars and for “his” tariffs. (As we will see in the section on the Law, this seems to be one of the mirrors that facilitates our learning.)

Exercises:

Trying to understand its structure, I see how the first few weeks are meant to emphasize that our eyesight is unreliable. This should not surprise us after having read Dr. Harrison. (See Fifth Blog) and the scientific proof that our brain forms images based on only one percent of what is observed. To quote Harrison: “We are all prone to deceive ourselves in many ways, but overconfidence in vision is one of the quickest and surest routes to self-deception.” But the problem goes further, according to Harrison himself, we tend to see what we believe, so that the remedy to get out of the deception is not in our sight but in what we believe and this is not fixed in the brain but in our mind. And the Student Handbook goes slowly and casually, guiding us daily to change our sight (brain) for vision (mind).

I had already briefly cited, (in Blog Tenth), the influence of Lesson 3 on my learning. But this lesson is much more important, let us look at it in its entirety. 1. God’s teachers do not have a set level of teaching.

There is no one from whom a teacher of God cannot learn, therefore there is no one whom he cannot teach.

There are no accidents in salvation. ⁷Those who are to meet will meet, because together they have the potential for a holy relationship.

2. The simplest level of teaching seems to be rather superficial.² It consists of what appear to be very casual encounters; a “random” encounter of two apparent strangers………….

 3…….. Over time, God’s teacher seems to begin to change his mind about the world with a single decision, and then he learns more and more about the new direction as he teaches it.

4. Each teaching-learning situation is maximal in the sense that each person involved will learn as much as possible from the other person at that moment.

…… the second level of education is a more sustained relationship………

As in the first level, these encounters are not accidental, nor is what seems to be the end of the relationship a real end….someday they will meet again………….

The above, in my opinion. adequately summarizes the revelations contained, and as the paragraphs are not very extensive, I suggest that you read and analyze them for yourself, but because of their importance I must bring here the complete fifth paragraph:

5. The third level of teaching occurs in relationships which, once they are formed, are lifelong.²These are teaching-learning situations in which each person is given a chosen learning partner who presents him with unlimited opportunities for learning.³These relationships are generally few, because their existence implies that those involved have reached a stage simultaneously in which the teaching-learning balance is actually perfect. ⁴This does not mean that they necessarily recognize this; in fact, they generally do not. ⁵They may even be quite hostile to each other for some time, and perhaps for life ⁶Yet should they decide to learn it, the perfect lesson is before them and can be learned. ⁷And if they decide to learn that lesson, they become the saviors of the teachers who falter and may even seem to fail. ⁸No teacher of God can fail to find the Help he needs.

What I have highlighted in this lesson is my personal interpretation, but I would not be surprised if you find something that resonates with you in a different way. It is important to emphasize that each of us has different experiences and therefore our way back home may be different, although we can be sure that the destination will be the same. (All roads lead to “Rome,” because He has designed it that way.)

As for the fifth paragraph, I would like to note that it is not only about the spouse, since it explicitly speaks of more than one partner (few relationships). It is not necessarily about divorces, extramarital affairs, concubinages, etc. It can (and should) perfectly include children, close relatives and at least in my case, certain apparently ‘strange’ people. I hope to explain myself better, later in my testimony, but first I must explain my discovery and use of “mirrors”

Of the Law

The Course mentions mirrors with some frequency, but it is in the Law that I have found a better explanation of them. I read the first revelation about them in Session 5: Look in a mirror. See the Creator.

And then in Session 19:Dealing with the self without other-selves is akin to living without what you would call mirrors. Thus, the self cannot see the fruits of its beingness. Thus, each may aid each by reflection.

Finally, in Session 74: The disciplined personality, when faced with an other-self, has all centers balanced according to its unique balance. Thusly the other-self looks in a mirror seeing itself.

Let’s keep in mind that with ‘another-selve. or selves”, Ra refers to one’s neighbor, or one’s neighbors. When it comes to one’s own other self, it is so specified or called my higher self. Thus what it reveals is that each one serves as a mirror to the others and when our (energy) centers are balanced we are the mirror of the Creator.

Just as ESP (extrasensory powers) awakened in me the curiosity and investigation of metaphysics, this use of mirrors impels me to go further in their meaning. As I delve deeper, I have come across a veritable treasure trove of new revelations. Let’s start with Session 5 and read the entire paragraph:

For general development of the reader of this book, could you state some of the practices or exercises to perform to produce an acceleration toward the Law of One?

I am Ra.

Exercise One. This is the most nearly centered and usable within your illusion complex. The moment contains love. That is the lesson/goal of this illusion or density. The exercise is to consciously seek that love in awareness and understanding-distortions. The first attempt is the cornerstone. Upon this choosing rests the remainder of the life-experience of an entity. The second seeking of love within the moment begins the addition. The third seeking powers the second, the fourth powering or doubling the third. As with the previous type of empowerment, there will be some loss of power due to flaws within the seeking in the distortion of insincerity. However, the conscious statement of self to self of the desire to seek love is so central an act of will that, as before, the loss of power due to this friction is inconsequential.

Exercise Two. The universe is one being. When a mind/body/spirit complex views another mind/body/spirit complex, see the Creator. This is an helpful exercise.

Exercise Three. Gaze within a mirror. See the Creator.

Exercise Four. Gaze at the creation which lies about the mind/body/spirit complex of each entity. See the Creator.

The foundation or prerequisite of these exercises is a predilection towards what may be called meditation, contemplation, or prayer. With this attitude, these exercises can be processed. Without it, the data will not sink down into the roots of the tree of mind, thus enabling and ennobling the body and touching the spirit.

This paragraph practically summarizes, corroborates and justifies what the Course develops in the Student Manual. I had already told you that the Law reveals to us the whys and the Course reveals to us how. And here is a clear and simple example of my appreciation.

As for Sessions 19 and 74, what I found is so rich and important that I will need one or more blogs to comment on it. But I think I already have enough to understand how to solve the causes of my insomnia on April 1st (fool’s day), mentioned towards the end of my Tenth blog.

Testimony.

As I reflect on the revelations I have just quoted and look into the mirrors of the people who have been chosen and assigned as my life partners, I have to offer infinite thanks to God.

First of all, for my wife, who has certainly provided me with “unlimited opportunities for learning”, suffice it to recognize that it was she who taught me to educate our children with love. But also when I look in her mirror I can always see where I am failing and what it is advisable to do to improve my relationships not only with her but with the rest of my peers.

The only real discrepancy that I think I detect is in our concepts of money, it is not that she demands it excessively, far from it, but she does not accept my total disregard in this matter. Therefore she doesn’t understand how I can spend my time throwing balloons instead of looking for clients. (here ‘throwing balloons’ is a Bogotanism that means inventing stories, fantasies, talking about impossible or unlikely things). My only defense, for now, is that when you dedicate yourself to getting money, it is true that there is no time to throw balloons, but neither to be happy. I will make an effort, however, to help her with the housework, or at least to worry, given my proven clumsiness in this respect. Understanding this, in my case, it no longer bothers me or prevents me from continuing to love and thank her. And besides, I’m happy.

The other concern, that of feeling the love necessary to forgive egomaniacs, is definitely more complex, but, in my case, I have found that I can also solve it with mirrors. I just have to understand and accept that there are positive and negative mirrors. The difference is very simple: is love only for the ego and just using most others as slaves (negative)?, or does it include the well-being of ALL others (positive)? Once each entity has been analyzed and classified, I just have to look in its mirror and determine what resonates with me. And I’ve found that I definitely don’t resonate with egomaniacs.

Since I have already taken the side of the positives, it is natural for me to find myself in the positive mirrors, like my wife’s. And the negatives? They simply serve to check what does not resonate with me. But in all cases I must thank each entity for providing me with their mirror.

And this is the starting point to understand that just as it is easy for me to love the positives, I must also do so with the negatives. I just have to be careful to do it with positive energy (love). It is very easy to fall into the temptation of doing it with feelings of ‘an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth’, but these are negative (and in reality they are not love, but fear). And physics teaches us that waves of the same sign are reinforced. And metaphysics teaches us that love, being energy, also spreads by waves (vibrations).

It is not difficult to perceive that the egomaniacs in power only keep instilling fear in those of us who vibrate with energy different from theirs, (it does not matter if they are from the right or the left) and if we react with feelings equal to theirs, we will only reinforce their vibrations. Waves of opposite sign neutralize each other. The conclusion, as idiotic as it may seem, is that the only way to fight fear is with love.

So I must also thank God for egomaniacs, they are the perfect mirror to reflect what I should avoid.

And at the present time, when analyzing every facet of the Trump ‘movement’, I find that polarization is reaching its maximum and is spreading to the entire planet and this should certainly accelerate the definition of election for the undecided. (It is also possible that it will make some ‘decided’ ones to change ‘parties’, both from one side or from the other). Let us remember that we are here just to choose which side, not to judge.

As I said at the beginning, the investigation of mirrors has given me real treasures in my learning. Session 19, which has to do with the transition from animal (second density) to human (third density). Session 74 speaks of the conditions before and after the “great experiment” of the Veil. I will try to publish blogs about my findings, but since it is important to emphasize again that each path is individual,  you may want to go directly to the source. I recommend it.

In summary, this comparison of mirrors has made me see that indeed, as the Course proposes, salvation consists in consciously finding the vibration of love and extending it to everyone, including egomaniacs.
