Dear Family,
Here is another one of my inexplicable little ‘coincidences’. On October 3, in one of my renal awakenings, my attention ‘focused’ on the clock; It showed 1:44 am. My flying mind then thought how exercise 144 of the Course led me to the review of 127 and my inquiry into the Law and its Session 27 which in paragraph 12 (quoted below) speaks of another ‘focus’ that resulted in intelligent energy and Love. (As I can see, the hand does not cease to guide me).
Let’s start from the beginning. This is what Dr. Elkins proposes at the start of the Sessions for the Second Book of the Law. (Session 27). I quote partially from Paragraph 27.3:
We will attempt, by starting at the beginning of creation, to establish an overview of ourselves in the creation, thereby arriving at a more informed point of inspection of what we consider to be reality. It is hoped that this process will allow us to participate more effectively in the process of evolution.
From <https://www.llresearch.org/channeling/ra-contact/27>
This attempt, the essence of which I summarize in the highlighted and underlined, basically has to lead us to know who we are. Knowing Himself seems to be the reason for the Creation of the Universe and the only thing God wants us to do when He places us in this third dimension so that we can help Him to experience Himself, to be able to know Himself.
I agree with Don Elkins (Session 28.1) when he says:
we are at possibly the most important part of what we are doing in trying to make it apparent, through questioning, how everything is one, and how it comes from one intelligent infinity.
From <https://www.llresearch.org/channeling/ra-contact/28>
My repeated readings of the Law have taught me that Ra tends to be as precise as possible in the choice of his words (sound vibrations, he calls them). You have to pay a lot of attention and learn to read ‘between the lines’. This, moreover, is not exclusive to Ra but to any ‘translation of thought’ by means of words; Let’s note how each discipline, scientific or not, always has to “define” its own vocabulary. And this is what Dr Elkins intends to achieve from this 27th Session on.
It is for these reasons that I decided to embark on an intense and careful reading of the beginning of Creation, as mysterious and inscrutable as it may seem. This has taken time, a lot of time, to read it, think about it, organize it, and try to ‘translate’ it in a coherent way so that it makes sense. Anyway I’m afraid that the result is still quite ‘a heavy brick’ and if you decide to throw in the towel, I’ll understand perfectly.
The Law dedicates Sessions 13, 27 and 28 to this issue. and the heaviness is largely due to what I consider to be the need to frequently quote the text of the Law. But if I content myself with simply giving the reference to the paragraphs (which I do as much as possible) I fear that the result would be even more unintelligible: I’m sorry, but let’s remember where the real message is; I just try to give back what I’m receiving.
For those who dare, the ideal and what I recommend is that you go directly to the Text and draw your own conclusions, I will present mine after showing in some detail the bases of the Three Distortions of the Law.
In the previous book, when historical interest prevailed, similar questions had already been asked in Session 13, when RA revealed that infinity came first (infinity is creation. (13.5) and then infinity became aware (13.6) and then this led to the focus on infinite energy (13.7;) Ra sometimes describes this focus as Self-aware/awareness; here he defines it as Logos or Love and speaks of the Creator as the focus of infinity as an ‘aware’ or conscious principle called by us, intelligent infinity. (13.7).
Then in 13.8 Ra tells us about the Creative Principle, the Law of One and its main distortion, free will, but without defining them and tells us that energy moves from intelligent infinity creating forms that begin to regularize their own rhythms and local energy fields, thus creating dimensions and universes.
On 13.9 Dr Elkins asks how the galaxy and our planetary system were formed to which Ra replies:
I am Ra. You must imagine a great leap of thought in this query, for at the last query the physical, as you call it, universes were not yet born.
It is thus perfectly clear that the metaphysical preceded matter, the physical. And it also reveals that an additional distortion, the Light, will be needed.
In the remainder of Session 13 Ra describes how and why God created individualized portions of infinite intelligence that in turn became co-Creators and produced the galaxies and all the other material things we see.
For a better illustration, the Questioner now asks, (Session) 27), for definitions and as we have already seen, the semantic difficulties begin. We have already seen in previous Blogs the differences between Love and love; To be and to be, and now a fundamental revelation: there are two meanings to the term Intelligent Infinity (one of the “names” of God).
Indeed, Ra makes it clear for us in 27.7 that the concept of intelligent infinity has two meanings; one the undistorted unity described in 27.6 and the other the vast potential used by 27.5 intelligent energy foci. However, the same words are used (for lack of others) to refer to the two states (let us call them that) of intelligent infinity.
For greater comfort I am going to separate properly (===========) the most “brick” part. If you prefer, you will be able to free yourself from most of what follows and then continue with my conclusions. Welcome:
================================================================================
Dr Elkins then asks how the galaxy and our planetary system were formed, to which Ra replies (13.9)
I am Ra. You must imagine a great leap of thought in this question, because in the last one, the physical universes, as you call them, had not yet been born.
The energies moved in increasingly intelligent patterns until the individualization of various energies emanating from the Creative Principle of intelligent infinity became co-Creators. Thus began the so-called physical matter. The concept of Light is fundamental to understanding this great leap of thought,
From < https://www.llresearch.org/channeling/ra-contact/13>
As I emphasize in the underlined, an additional distortion, the Light, is indispensable.
For the definition of Intelligent Infinity (Question 27.5), RA initially tells us that:
There is unity. This unity is all that it is. This unit has potential and kinetics. Potential is intelligent infinity. Tapping into this potential will produce jobs. This work has been called by us, intelligent energy.
The nature of this work depends on the particular distortion of Free Will and in turn, it is the nature of a particular intelligent energy, or kinetic focus, of the potential of oneness, that is all.
When Elkins asks if it is a spiritual work (a work in consciousness) Ra reveals to us in 27.6:
Intelligent infinity has a rhythm, or flow, like that of a giant heart beginning with the Central Sun, as you would think or conceive this; the presence of the inevitable flow as a tide of being without polarity, without finitude; The vast, silent everything beating outward, outward, focusing outward and inward until the focuses are complete. The intelligence or consciousness of the foci has reached a state where your, shall we say, spiritual nature or mass calls you inward, inward, inward until it all merges. This is the rhythm of reality in your language system.
From < https://www.llresearch.org/channeling/ra-contact/27>
Eventually he clarifies in 27.7
There is no difference, potential or kinetic, in unity. The basic rhythms of intelligent infinity are totally free from distortion of any kind. Rhythms are cloaked in mystery, because they are being itself. However, from this undistorted unity appears a potential in relation to intelligent energy.
In this way it can be observed that the term has a bit of two faces: a use of the term, which is like the undistorted unit, without any kinetic or potential side. The other application of this term, which we use indiscriminately for lack of another term, in the sense of the vast potential harnessed by [intelligent] energy pockets.
From < https://www.llresearch.org/channeling/ra-contact/27>
I also notice that in order to go from the first concept to the second, we first need to inquire about the first two distortions.
Regarding the first, Free Will, Ra in 27.8&9 reveals that it originated from recognizing that ‘the Creator will know Himself and for this he grants the concept of absolute freedom to choose the paths of knowledge’. As a consequence, intelligent infinity discerned another new concept: the finite (the counterpart of infinity) (13.12&13) which allowed it to embark on the exploration of multiplicity (manyness), for which it began the process of creating individualized portions of Itself. (In an Infinite Being there is only unity and the concept of many (more than one) is not applicable).
Regarding the second, Love, Ra reveals to us in 27.12:
This must be defined in the context of intelligent infinity, or oneness, or the One Creator, with the primordial distortion of Free Will. The term Love can then be seen as the focus, the choice of attack, the kind of energy of an extremely high order, shall we say, that causes intelligent energy to be formed from the potential of intelligent infinity in such and such a way. This can be seen as an object rather than an activity by some of your peoples, and the principle of this extremely strong energy focus is worshipped as the Creator rather than the oneness, or oneness, from which all Loves emanate.
From < https://www.llresearch.org/channeling/ra-contact/27>
In the underlined part we can see the reason why some consider, or have considered, this Creative Principle as God, or a second God, or differentiate between the God of the Old and New Testaments. No, they are not distinct Gods, just a distinct stage in the evolution of the knowledge of infinite intelligence.
It remains for us to analyze the distortion of the Light. The final part of Ra’s answer in 13.9 already quoted above, reveals to us:
The concept of Light is fundamental to understanding this great leap of thought, as this vibrational distortion of infinity is the building block of what is known as matter, being the intelligent and energetic Light, thus being the first distortion of intelligent infinity that was called by the Creative Principle.
And from 27.14 mainly Elkins, corroborated by Ra, teaches us (based on the studies and publications of Dewey Larson; see note at the end of the Blog), that:
“We have the infinite vibration of Love, which for lack of a better understanding, we will call pure (i.e., non-physical) motion, creating by this process of vibration, what we call a photon, the basic particle of light. This photon then, by additional vibrations and rotations, advances its condensation into particles of the various densities we experience. The light that forms densities has what we call color, and this color is divided into seven categories
From < https://www.llresearch.org/channeling/ra-contact/27>
Subsequently, in Session 28, Elkins requests and obtains confirmation of these statements:
“This Light occurred as a consequence of vibration, which is a consequence of Love (28.3). This light can then condense into matter as we know it in our density, into all of our chemical elements due to rotations of vibration at quantum intervals, or units of angular velocity (28.4).”
From < https://www.llresearch.org/channeling/ra-contact/28#fnref:1>
And to complete and clarify this series of concepts, we must go to 15.21:
Could you tell me if there is a sequence? Is there a first, second, third, fourth distortion of the Law of One?
Ra
I am Ra. Only up to a very short point. After this point, the multiplicity of distortions are equal to each other. The First Distortion, Free Will, finds focus. This is the Second Distortion known to you as Logos, the Creative Principle, or Love. This intelligent energy thus creates a distortion known as Light.
From these three distortions come many, many hierarchies of distortions, each with its own paradoxes to synthesize, none more important than the other.
From < https://www.llresearch.org/channeling/ra-contact/15#21>
================================================================================
Once the bases of the three distortions are covered, we can try to perceive where we come from and where we are going. Imitating Dr. Elkins, my new reading of the Law has led me to form this sequential narrative:
“the infinite Is..
eventually it acquires consciousness, it realizes that it is unity and that it contains everything and is the cause of everything, it has no distortions or focuses, but it has some basic rhythms, outward and inward like a giant heart, like a central Sun with ebb and flow, (like a sea tide) shrouded in mystery.” (Infinite intelligence first sense)
Awareness increases and becomes aware of itself. He realizes that he can focus on various activities and that he has to know himself, but for that it is necessary to have full freedom to choose the paths of how to seek that knowledge. This constitutes the First Distortion: Free Will. (Infinite Intelligence second sense)
By considering the various ways to know Himself, he realizes that he cannot do so in his character of infinity since this concept only admits Unity. He then discerns the concept of the finite and develops the system of creating ‘individualized portions of himself’ that Ra calls Logos, sub Logos, sub-sub Logos etc., and it is through these that he will enhance the experimentation to know himself.
It then focuses on energy and this results in the Second Distortion. Simultaneously appear the intelligent, potential, and kinetic energy, and Love, which is the Force that relates them, which Ra also refers to as Logos and the Creative Principle.
Very soon the Creative Principle gives way to the Photon, the Light, the Third Distortion. And this makes matter possible.
“
As for the two senses of Infinite Intelligence, I am going to make an attempt to clarify them a little.
The reference to ‘tide’ brings me to the comparison with the physical sea, which can be focused on various activities (transportation, fishing, energy, hurricane, etc. etc.) i.e. a metaphysical common substrate, analogous to sea water, which can be focused on various activities and by focusing on energy, acquires the nature of potential energy.
Likewise, the description of ‘heart and central sun’ are references that Ra uses as tools to indicate similarities with our bodies and physical universes. Ra uses them because they are things we know and serve as an analogy for imagining their metaphysical counterparts.
But let’s be careful not to confuse pears with apples. It is not that infinite infinity resembles the sea, nor the body, nor the sun, but on the contrary, they resemble it. Here we have to analyze how and when things happen. The first thing that comes to mind is that time here does not exist as something that can be measured and determined exactly. It seems to exist only in the sense of before and after and manifests itself as cause and effect. The concept of the sea that I have used is physical and therefore, as we have just clarified, the metaphysical is before and the physical after. The first is cause and the other effect. The same applies to heart and sun. And to Time and time in the non-physical.
The problem is that at the beginning there is no ‘time’ (finite, years) but only Time (before and after, eternal); So we don’t really know ‘when’ things happen. The first thing to perceive is that events have a successive order. That is why I speak of ‘sequences’, which must happen first. It seems relatively simple to perceive that there were lapses between the initial conception of intelligent infinity and the Law of One, and each of the distortions and between metaphysical and physical creation. Therefore, it is clear that there was a lapse between the two ‘senses’ of intelligent infinity.
But it has not been so easy for me to determine when and how we were created. Before or after the Veil?
Before or after THIS universe (ours and Ra’s)? Before or after Love? Or the First Distortion? Each of the answers would cause a different effect, so I have no doubt that like the three distortions, their investigation is more than important. Fortunately, the fifth reading of the Law together with the second practice of the Course Exercises (and the hand and its coincidences) are allowing me to find clues. And practical applications for the present moment.
I anticipate that the next Blog will be more revealing and much less ‘brick’.
As usual
I love you with Love and love,
Alberto
P.S. Dewey Larson: Controversial engineer turned physics writer and eventually metaphysics. Heavily criticized and vilified, seemingly beginning to resurrect in recent years. Ra tells us that his physics is for the fourth density that is now beginning.
Here I reproduce a descriptive summary of his work that refrains from judging him, as I do.
The Reciprocal System of Physical Theory (“RS theory”) was created by chemical engineer Dewey B. Larson during the 1940s to 1950s, after he noticed that the properties of elements on the Periodic Table could be easily determined if time was assumed to have three dimensions, rather than one. Larson realized that these three temporal dimensions had the same properties as our conventional three spatial dimensions, leading him to the conclusion that there were actually three dimensions of space/time, each dimension of space pairing with a dimension of time as a ratio. The inverse relationship of space to time is what is commonly called speed (miles per hour, meters per second, etc.), or in a more general sense, motion. By assuming that motion rather than matter was the actual component of Nature, he was able to deduce the structure of our physical universe through natural consequences, from the smallest particle to the largest galaxy.
Encouraged by his neighbor, friend, classmate, and fraternity brother, Nobel laureate Linus C. Pauling, Larson published his preliminary findings in his 1959 book, The Structure of the Physical Universe as an overview of his “universe of motion.” Over the years, Larson published ten more books documenting his theory, covering physics, chemistry, electronics, and astronomy, with his latest volume, Beyond Space and Time (published posthumously in 1996) demonstrating that his “theory of motion” was of general application, successfully venturing into the realm of life, general biology, ethics and metaphysics.
